Engaging Talent – how we differ.

“Are you a recruiter? We do not work with recruiters. We have no respect for how they work and how they only place ads or use LinkedIn. Our internal talent teams can do that themselves – why spend money on it?”

These are some of the things that not only I have been hearing from clients, fellow colleagues or reading on LinkedIn, it is something that will always strike a cord with me.

Our business focuses on talent. How is this different?

We offer services that retain and attract talent. We do not simply place ads or use one social media networking tool.

We go out to the market and research who is the relevant people in the relevant organisations who are succeeding in their current roles. These are not simply people in similar roles working in competitors to your organisation, they are people with appropriate skills and experience, an appreciation for how you engage your customers, create value and convert profit – with the technical, social and commercial insights to quickly deliver in the areas you need most.  We then approach them directly to see if we can interest them in a move. How do we help your organisation retain your people?

One of the solutions could be creating a talent map where we have a 12 month period and continue to create a pool for the high retention roles and another could be workforce planning. This is where we determine what staff are required where and when and how you retain them could include coaching or of course understanding the needs of your business and the supports available.

It is far more than recruitment. It is working with your organization to assist you in nurturing the most important element in your business – PEOPLE. Of course, when working with people it is not a one size fits all because everyone is different. Therefore, the service offerings should also be different and that is where we focus on understanding and growing your people whether current or existing.
